Comments: D K Electric was great! Came out to take a look at my fuse box that I had been told by another electrician needed to be updated. They were honest with their evaluation, and told me that an update wasn't necessary, and gave me the best quote out of the 4 electricians I had contacted for when I am ready to make the update. They also took a look at my laundry room, and identified some problems with the lines running to my dryer. Went out to get the parts, and fixed it that day! Great guys!

Work Description: Ran 220v wiring to an outdoor hot tub

Comments: Came out and gave a quote the same day, was almost half the cost of the other contractor that called and gave me a quote. Did a great job wiring it up, filled the tub and had it running before they left. Will use them again in springtime to run the electrical out to my pool pump.

Work Description: Grounded several outlets in our home, and then returned to help us figure out why a circuit breaker kept flipping.

Comments: We very much appreciated Doug as we were moving into our new home! We feel we got a fair price for the initial call to ground our outlets - but what really sets Doug apart is that he was willing to come back to our house the next day when a circuit for the upstairs was not working properly. He worked for over an hour (after his regular work day) to correct the problem AND went above and beyond to fix another issue that was going on w/the upstairs light switches. Again, we had a very fair price and we had our lights back! Highly recommend Doug and his company. The only draw back was that they did not clean up around the outlets that they had updated so there was some debris from the updates on the carpet, etc.

Work Description: Due to a partial electrical failure, a leak was discovered in my circuit breaker. He sealed the top of my meter, replaced the main breaker, and the smaller switch breakers. He showed me the leak itself. I also had him replace a dimmer light switch in my hallway, replaced a reset plug plate in the basement and remove a broken light in a ceiling fan.

Comments: He was very knowledgeable and explained what had to be done. I will hire him again in the future. He cleaned after himself. He called me right away and the job was completed quickly. Thank you for your part.

Work Description: Troubleshooting not having power in half of the house even though the circuits werent blown(tripped) and had full power running to house from the outside master. After troubleshooting for a bit we realized that we were looking in the wrong place for the issue because my girlfriends brother in law decided to replace the circuit and wired it wrong, so what we thought we were turning power off on was actually not doing so. Doug realized this and could have solved the problem in as little as 20 minutes had he actually not listened to me telling him what someone else had done earlier. But it goes to show you that they do actively listen to what your issue is. :)

Comments: Great pricing as compared to other companies in our service area plus were the only companies to call me back through the networx site... And D K Electric called me within 5 minutes of me submitting my request through the site. Not only did D K solve my problem, but they also educated me as to why it was caused how to prevent the issue in the future, and other issues I might run into with the electrical setup that I had aquired in my new place. Not only that but Doug showed me exactly what I needed to do on the other outlets so that I could save even more money than I already was with his service. Would highly recommend this company. I had the option to use a 10% coupon on labor cost, but due to the educational nature of Doug and looking out for my best interest I opted to not use the coupon.

Comments: The work was professional and they did a great job, but two people came and for most of three hours one guy was texting on his phone. The other thing was they needed the floor plug since they didn't have it, so they both went to Home Depot to pick it up. Of course they charged me for the time both of them were gone, instead of one staying and working on the job.
